ELDER BOARD UPDATE: March 22
Financial results for February were encouraging with income exceeding expenses by $10,485 for the month. The number of households participating in giving increased from 117 in January to 123 in February.

The top candidate whom the elder board was considering had to withdraw due to illness in their family. Our recruiter has reopened the job search and will identify additional candidates for consideration, and we expect to begin another round of interviews within a few weeks.

In response to a question regarding the preferred gender, denominational affiliation, and church background of a candidate, Woodcrest is a non-denominational church, so we are not limiting candidates to any specific denomination or church background. Both men and women will be considered for the role. We will seek a candidate who agrees with and will support Woodcrest's beliefs and values and who can thrive as part of a diverse leadership team.

EASTER SUNDAY BREAKFAST: April 5
This Easter Sunday, we’ll have a simple breakfast available to enjoy as you arrive and connect with others.

In place of our monthly luncheon, we’re keeping things light so our volunteers and staff can enjoy Easter with their families. We’ll have donuts, coffee, juice, and a few light options like bagels and yogurt…nothing fancy, just a relaxed way to gather and share a few moments together.

Come a little early, linger a little longer, and enjoy the time together.

LAST WEEK'S INSIGHTS
Last Sunday, Kelly Wright taught forgiveness, trust, and restoration. Using Peter’s denial of Jesus and Jesus’ restoration of Peter, she showed that failure and hurt do not have to be the end of the story.

Highlights
• Forgiveness is a process, not a one-time moment
• Unforgiveness can grow into resentment and bitterness
• Peter’s failure was not the end of his story
• Jesus restores people, not just forgives them
• Reconciliation and restoration require honesty, courage, and time
• Trust is rebuilt slowly and lost quickly

Takeaway
Failure may write a chapter, but Jesus keeps writing the story. Forgiveness opens the door to healing, and restoration reminds us that grace still has the final word.
