SUNDAY, JANUARY 11, 2026
This week we begin a new series called Learning to Move Again. Life comes in starts and stops. Spiritually, we experience great highs, long lulls, and tremendous lows.
But what if the launchpad is waiting not for God to act, but for us to move? What if we have subscribed to a faith that is accidentally complacent, or stewarded a church stuck in stagnation?
In the weeks ahead, we’ll ask a different question: what if we moved? What if we positioned ourselves for momentum, for action, for growth, for adventure, for life, and life abundant? We’ll kick that off this week and then chase it throughout the Bible’s narrative together.
So, will you position yourself to be with us on Sunday? Red light… Green light: Go!
CHRISTMAS OFFERING RECAP
From Local to Global, One Mission of Love
Because of your generosity, this year’s Christmas Offering raised over $40,000 to support people in need both within our Woodcrest family and throughout our community and beyond.
These gifts help meet real, practical needs such as housing assistance, utilities, groceries, counseling, medical expenses, transportation, and more. They also allow us to partner with trusted local and global ministries doing meaningful work, including food insecurity, reentry support, family care, youth development, and mission outreach.
Whether the support is felt across the street or across the world, every dollar given is part of one mission of love. Thank you for faithfully giving and helping Woodcrest reflect the heart of Christ in tangible ways.
GROWING TOGETHER THIS WINTER & SPRING
Later this winter, we’ll be offering a Thrive class focused on building emotionally and spiritually healthy rhythms using Emotionally Healthy Spirituality. This class will be a great opportunity to grow in self-awareness, faith, and community as we begin the year.
We’ll be sharing the full class and small group schedule soon, so keep an eye out for details and registration information in the coming weeks.
LAST WEEK’S INSIGHT
Last week Kelly shared a practical word for the start of 2026: instead of chasing resolutions that fade, build spiritual rhythms that create space to stay connected to Jesus and experience lasting transformation.
Watch (or rewatch): Last Week's Message
Highlights:
New beginnings are rooted in God’s mercy and faithfulness, not self-improvement.
The goal isn’t perfection or performance, it’s availability.
Five rhythms: silence and solitude, Scripture, prayer, emotional health, and community.
Takeaway:
Start small this week. Choose one rhythm, protect a little time for it, and practice it consistently.
