Serving Community
We believe that the local church, functioning Biblically, is the hope of the world. A bold statement! However, we are confident of this truth because the local church has been entrusted with the unique life-changing message of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12) and the unique promise of God’s presence when we gather for worship and ministry (Matthew 18:20). These kinds of churches do not spring up spontaneously. They do not happen by accident or even by good intention. They grow and flourish as people purposely commit themselves to God’s purposes in the context of loving Christian community. Toward that end, those who decide to join the Serving Community at Woodcrest, agree to do their part to create an environment where God can do His work in and through them. Members of the Serving Community commit to worship together faithfully, share their faith compassionately, live out their beliefs with integrity, serve their community purposefully, give their resources generously and pray with and for each other continuously.
