Babies & One Year Olds

On the Columbia campus, we have three infant rooms: Zero - 10 months (or until walking if the parent prefers), 11-18 months and 19-23 months. Each room is equipped with developmentally appropriate toys and equipment. Children are promoted to the next room the weekend after they reach the age-graded milestone.

If babies are crying after they are dropped off, they may be strolled to help calm them. If they continue to cry, we will page mom or dad after 15 minutes unless other arrangements are made.

Four & Five Year Olds

On the Columbia campus, spend some of their hour in our Precrest Playground and some of their hour in their learning room. In their learning room, we begin with a few favorite songs and participate together in music and movement. Then we teach a Bible story using drama and technology.

We focus each month on a particular character value, such as loyalty or love, illustrating that value with the Bible story and connecting it to experiences they have every day at home, at church, or at preschool. They will also spend time eating a snack and enjoying their creative play time. Creative play may include a choice of art activities or a game that reinforces the lesson.

Pre-Crest Playground

On the Columbia campus, your children will very much enjoy our indoor playground. We exercise some gross motor skills and play with the children to help prepare them for their learning experience. The 2 yr olds up through 5 yr olds will rotate in and out to take their turn playing on the playground.
